How many of you get... or have had... jobs with remote
companies, where the company

a reasonable documentation schedule began and
b) sent you one or more devices that they normally sell
for upwards of USD25000, so that you could actually
work with what you were documenting?
Hi Kevin,
The answer to both your questions is none, because I never pursued the
opportunities that far. I have no desire to spend half my time away from my
family, which the positions required. The job that I am about to start is
local. However, other contracts I've been involved with required me to be
onsite so there was no need to send expensive hardware to work with while I
did the documentation. It was already there. As for having real working
hardware or software before documentation begins, I've had some companies
that brought TWs in at the beginning of a project and some (actually most)
that waited until the last minute.
