Greetings!

Awhile back I brought up the idea of creating a style guide for my
department, since we were a crazy quilt of different documentation
standards, fonts, etc. The general consensus was that I should focus
on the documentation itself and create good product before worrying
about style, so that's what I did.

Now, with the user guides essentially put to bed, my project manager
has asked me to create a general style guide to ensure cohesiveness
and consistency for the future. This will be fairly big--since our
division is getting downsized, once I'm gone, I don't think they'll be
taking anyone on to replace me. So what I do here will be the standard
for a good long while.

What suggestions or ideas do you have for creating a good style guide
for users and managers to refer to?

Many thanks!

Martin
