Hi Walt,
You don't say what you'll be doing with the wiki, but if there's a chance
the subject matter will be even slightly controversial, I'd pick an engine
that has some way to register commenters.
Case in point:
June 17: L.A. Times announces new wiki for editorials in "A Wiki for Your
Thoughts" (http://tinyurl.com/d365j)
June 19: "Where is the Wikitorial?"--The Times shuts the wiki down
(http://tinyurl.com/afa4t) "because a few readers were flooding the site
with inappropriate material."
"The sad thing is that anonymity coupled with a lack of personal
accountability provides too many individuals -- on the right and the left
-- with the excuse to exhibit excessive anti-social behavior"
...
"One of the suggestions made Saturday was that the Times require a valid
e-mail address to establish an account and a 24-hour delay between
establishing an account and edit privileges on the wiki...."
Sounds like good precautions, but I notice they've still not reopened
their wiki.
FYI,
Chris
