All of the manuals I work on are for the same company, and must go through the same publishing process, ending with the approval and signature from the FAA. So, although I may be working on up to six or eight manuals at a time, they all go through similar steps in the process, which allows for an easily-formatted, easily-updated table of projects and progress.

I have a dry erase board matrix that I use to keep track of all the projects I'm working on, the priority level of each project, where each is in the process, where each will go next, and the estimated time of completion of each project. The nice thing is that not only does it keep me organized, but my manager (who hates micromanaging but sometimes must update his boss on my progress) can easily see what's going on without having to find me.

Most tech writers have multiple projects going on simultaneously, each with
its own lists of tasks, deadlines, and other to-do items. I'm curious what
your methods are for staying organized and top of it all
[...]

Mind sharing your method with me?

Tom
