Folks,

I had horrible "mouse hand" a number of years ago. My boss found me a giant ridgid mousepad that strapped onto the arm of an office chair like a school desk. This meant no more pressure of the desk edge on my arm, as well as no reaching. Space-wise, it worked with a mouse; better with a trackball. Now you can get wireless mice, and that would solve the big problem with the chair-based mousepad (besides knocking it off the arm/pad).

I have never seen one since, but a handy person could put one together, I bet.
