Subject: Online Help Systems
Hello all, I started a new project and they decided that with this release
of their much updated sw app. that they want to do online help.
I used RoboHelp for many years when it did WinHelp, I used it for one year
when it did WebHelp but it didn't support Netscape so I didn't keep using
it. I migrated to HTML Help Workshop and haven't done much with help for
four or five years.
After a quick Google search I found:
Help Producer
EC Software's Help & Manual 4
Help Scribble
Including MS HTML Help 1.4 and RoboHELP what are opinions out there for me
to adequately analyze the online help apps. and offer a solution to my
client? They are using Word for most manuals, although they will a release
later this year where I think Frame might be a better option b/c the manual
will be ~400 pages. I've already pitched Frame for that project and they are
open-minded to that. So that is also something to consider.
