To answer my own question, yes it can be done. You insert a marker in addition to the Index marker and create an index of that other marker. It sorts just like a standard index. The drawback is that you have to insert the other markers, which takes time.

Personally, I still think that a well-done index takes care of the need for other versions of TOCs that may or may not be easy to create/sort. It's the same information, just located at the back of the book instead of the front.

That's my opinion, and I'm stickin' to it! :-)
