Subject:The Fun of TechWrl and Andrew Plato From:Justin Ressler <JRessler -at- ewa-denver -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 11 Nov 2004 13:58:17 -0700
Somewhere around (and now I get clue number 2 by looking at the date)
April 1, of 2003 I printed out Andrew Plato's 10 Things All Tech Writers
Should Do. I only remember being very busy and printing it out to read
later.
I pinned it to my cork board and thought about reading it a few times
since. Today, while cleaning up my office in preparations for departure
(no, they're not replacing me because 50% of this division is going to
disappear after the holidays) I picked up Andrew Plato's 10 Things All
Tech Writers Should Do and started to read it, trying to decide if it
should go in my "Keep it" pile.
Wow, thanks for the humor, I now have the opportunity to read it a year
and a half later. I am pretty sure that I recommended it to someone who
asked "What should I do to get started?" I guess if they understood the
sarcasm, it was a good suggestion, otherwise, they probably didn't put
me at the top of their list.
Oh well, thanks for the laugh, the joke was on me.
