I have never relocated before and was wondering how I should go about
finding a job?
The first thing I would suggest is making your resume look local. Get a local address for the area where you want to move, and put this address on your resume. Then, get a cell phone with the "right" area code. It doesn't cost very much for a pre-paid telephone (see http://www.t-mobile.com/prepaid/starterkits.asp), and the nationwide roaming will make you sound like you are already local!
No money for a phone? Sell some of that stuff you are planning to get rid of when you move...
