The point though (and here's the tech writing tie-in)
is to know your audience. This MBA student should know
by now what makes for proper presentation to a
professional forum. Now we've seen four people mention
red flags with regard to this message, with one in
defense of it. Regardless of the intent, the way the
survey was communicated and the format of the
questions screamed of unprofessionalism and
market-driven advertising.

If this survey request was an honest request from a
masters student for project-related research, let this
exchange be a learning experience for the individual
to better-present such communications in the future.
