Run over that again - you got some typos there. ;)

But, anyone *can* be a writer. You don't need a degree
or be in a related profession to be a writer.

Let's face it, one aspect of a tech writer's
profession involves a communication medium used by
nearly everyone on the planet in some way or another.

Personally, I'm glad anyone can be a writer - and some
can even be good writers. I'm happy to have people
like Scott Adams and Stephen Hawking (how's that for
diversity?) pouring their minds into prose.

I know your article was tongue in cheek, but without
knowing that, it doesn't read that way. There's a HUGE
difference between being able to write well and being
a good technical writer, and there certainly are many
out there who are not offically branded as tech
writers who do in fact produce excellent technical
documentation.

Point? Dunno. I'm lost now. Time to tune in to
Nickelodeon to see how Spongebob's doing.
