TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
FWIW, I used to ride a motorcycle. An employer (not a
technical writing one, actually it was an employer in
the medical field) mentioned to me
that--employment-wise--it was best for me to
reconsider that. Am not sure Kant covered the
motorcycle thing, either.
IOW, am not trying to cheapen the issue of ethics by a
discussion of smoking, but am cheapening it by a
discussion of ethical discrimination as I have seen in
my career as a technical writer.
But, yeah, I do really see your point, so am done with
this thread. <g> Somebody else's turn.
Cheers,
Sean
