I'm wondering about the intransitive use of the
verb "to trigger." I know that if you're a program
or a procedure, to run and to be run are the same
thing. But if a procedure runs automatically each
time a particular parameter is reset, is it
reasonable to say that "the procedure will trigger"
upon parameter reset, or must we say that the
procedure "will be triggered"?

Has anyone seen the intransitive use? That is, has
anyone seen "trigger" used to mean "be triggered"?
