Tech writers,

I'm encountering some font problems when generating HTML Help from Japanese
Robohelp; specifically, the font discrepancies are in the TOC and Index.

I found a posting in the archives from Bill Burns who has this to say:

"If you're actually using MS HTML Help, the HTML Help viewer doesn't support
UTF-8. You have to go with Shift-JIS. Also, if you haven't done so already,
make sure that you set the locale and font settings in the HHP file. If
you're not using the Japanese version of RoboHelp to produce the Japanese
version, you should probably jettison RoboHelp and work with only the
required files for HTML Help."

Bill, if you're out there (I've tried e-mailing you directly--bounced back),
can you tell me how to set the Shift-JIS? Also where in the HHP file do I
set locale and font? Anyone else encounter these problems and have
solutions for them?

Thanks for your help.

James
