This may be a hard concept for some people to understand, but in many cases,
people don't buy the steak...they buy the sizzle.

is this the style -vs - content debate? maybe, but in my eyes, there is no
debate about it.

Two projects are vying for attention. Both of them are equal on all fronts
and the "content" of each project is under par (and to a golfer, this is a
good thing). Who gets the attention and accolades?

- If you are presenting a document in a binder, take 5 minutes and use a
typed label instead of handwritten.
- If the document has tab dividers, go for color tabs and have the tab label
printed (I love my Brother P-Touch labeling machine)
- If you are presenting something in a meeting, know how many are coming,
and make a copy for each, plus 2...and always give the original to the
senior person in the meeting, even if that person is not your boss.
- If you are going to make an impression on something, make a BIG
impression. Yes, in many cases, size DOES matter.

Stupid little things that most people think is below their professionalism.
Make it sizzle.

BTW...none of this precludes having the content right, useable, and on-time.
That always comes first.
