some hints on tables:

If a table is off the page and you can't get at
it in Page Layout view, go to Normal view and
you can see and access the whole thing.

You can drag & drop or cut & paste data from
one table to another as long as the table you're
pasting into is the same shape (rows & columns)
that you're cutting from.

Outside of tables, you can still delete a column
of text, it's just well hidden. For column delete,
position the mouse cursor at the top left of the
rectangle to be deleted, hold alt, click & drag
to the bottom right corner. press delete.
