John,

I just upgraded my kids computer to XP from ME. I had no problems with the
installation and it took about an hour. Afterwards, XP kept telling me that
I didn't have any net connection. I could still browse the web however. I
ran the home networking wizard that it has and everything was golden again.
I will be doing my 98 machine next, I would recommend you purchase some kind
of ghosting software to make an image of your system before the upgrade so
you could restore it if necessary. Norton comes to mind.

BTW, in the instructions it says that the windows installer will give you
the option of using NTFS (for drives over 35GB) or FAT-32, mine didn't.

Wade
