Well, whaddya know? We've been using the ANSI standard since we worked
with Charles Kemnitz in the early 90s... I had no idea he co-authored
it. We use the warnings whenever death or injury is possible, regardless
of whether any equipment is involved.

They're also discussed in an old Technical Communication
(89-91--somewhere in there) in an article by Charles Kemnitz.
He co-authored the ANSI standard, FWIW.
