Although I suppose I should read the rest of the answers so far, I'd say...

This manual uses three types of notices: notes, cautions and warnings.
  
	Notes
	   Definition

	Cautions
	   Definition

	Warnings
	   Warnings come in three levels:
		+ Minor conflagration
		+ Major incident
		+ Really very big explosion
