I'm writing manuals for the software used in a wafer fab. Even if I did
have a personal interest in the subject I would probably have no way to
follow it from the outside.

To disprove the theory someone offered up earlier in the tread: I am one of
the people who believe in knowing as much as possible, but my interest is
merely professional.
