*** How confident are you going to be that the slob

*** and check/verify the info, just for you?

FWIW, I've read some beautifully wordsmithed crap, and I've read some
horrifically wordsmithed dead-accurate info. I'll disagree with Andrew to a
degree - not all valid content is readable. BUT, most is somewhat readable,
and if the info's dead-on, I can overlook the poor grammar. So, I guess I'm
not confident in any info I read until after I've read and validated it.

Let's face it. Perfection is hard to achieve. If it was easy to achieve, I'd
definitely question it. *g* I believe the integrity of the information
relayed in a document is vital. All other aspects - design, grammar, format
- are secondary in importance. Same goes for process, formality, style
adherence, etc. All this stuff is great, but cannot take precedence over the
primary goal - to provide accurate data. Readers will forgive
less-than-perfect wording or appearance. They are less likely to forgive
inaccurate data, especially if that inaccurate data caused problems in some
way.
