Well, here's what I'd do with that sort of problem.
I'd pick up Manila from Userland, a scripting language used, among other
things, to maintain websites. One of the things this particular systemis
good at is inserting variables into web pages. You define the variable in
the langauge, then use the variable name in the web pages that you write
(and which are also stored in Frontier's object db). Then, when it's time
to "publish, it replaces all occurances of of the variable with the current
definition. Change the definition and publish again, and the new name is in
the html pages.
You could manage the same thing with NetObjects Fusion, but NOF is a trifle
unstable, runs only under Windows, and garbages up the html something
awful. Manila doesn't know nuthin' 'bout no html, so leaves your code
alone. It simply searches for defined variables when publishing and
replaces them with their defined value.
