However, Trados has lots of seats, is reliable, and easy for most
translators to use, because a portion of the Trados suite plugs into Word as
a super-duper macro. This isn't to say that your source and target can't be
in FrameMaker. In such an event, you use export to Mif and then use Trados
tools to get RTF for the translators.

You might also look at Deja Vu, which handles MIF natively. From what I recall, it costs less than Trados.
