It really depends on what you're teaching. If you are
teaching someone how to use some basic software, or
how to do basic things on a computer, I think a CBT is
fine (see Windows Me's tutorials). If you are getting
into more complex business applications, then having a
human there who knows the software, the industry, the
business needs, and the training plan is very
desirable. Likewise, the CBT has to be geared for the
right audience. I don't think it'd be a good vehicle
for auto repair, but for using MS Outlook or
Dreamweaver 4, sure.

One thing to remember about CBT: you can only cover so
much in the actual lesson, else you risk going over
people's heads. Keep it simple and link out to
supplemental documentation and/or CBT when appropriate.
