Well, who struck a nerve on who? If you bothered to
actually look at the email I sent, you would see that
I DID NOT write that part - I was commenting on it. MY
PART of the message (the part without the angle
brackets, which 99% of the time indicate copied
content from a message to which the current message is
replying) was the URL.

I'm not interested in your degrees and test scores. In
fact, I really don't think anyone is. As far as all
that is concerned, it doesn't mean squat compared to
the manner in which you conduct yourself in a forum. I
believe I know exactly what I'm talking about when I
say that I am disappointed that a presumably astute
and potentially revered writer has such a hair trigger
for criticism, and the inability to recognize or
establish context in messages received and sent.
My apologies to the list for a public reply, but this
post really got under my skin.
