If at all possible, why don't you consider getting out of there? It sounds
as if the whole company is less than an acceptable environment. Given the
job market right now, why not use the opportunity to network and find a
better place? You can use the impending move as a good excuse, so they won't
think you're leaving because you're generally disappointed. Find yourself a
place where they've been looking for a tech writer for a long time, and will
likely greet you with bands and a parade.
