How about:

"Common Name Search is used to retrieve common names
from a PDF. The first time a PDF is searched, a list
of common names is produced. This list can be modified
using local operators, such as Not, Contains, and
Exactly."


Anything else is superflous and while it may mean
something to you, it doesn't mean anything to the
user...unless I'm missing something.
