Hello:

> Click on the Borders tab. For Settings, select None. Select the Style,
Color and Width of the line you want. In the preview area, click on the
diagram to place the line where you want. That way, you won't get a box,
just a line.

This will only work when applying to a paragraph; if "text" is chosen, then
it places a box around the text... Hmmmmm? A bug in Word 97?
