Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about an
"oversize" template with nothing in it. Here are the thing to
look out for if you come across this problem:

* Paragraph and character tags
* Color definitions
* Cross-reference formats
* Variable definitions
* Master pages
* Embedded graphics (such as a logo)
* Markers
* Table definitions
* Reference pages

How do you size down the template?

1) Eliminate any unused formatting (see list above).
2) Make a backup of the file and save the template as a
.MIF file. This is a format that can be read in a text editor.
Compare the oversize file with other templates to find
differences.
