Position: Technical Writer
Location: Mountain View

Job Responsibilities:
Technical Writer to Develop and maintain customer documentation for the
Synopsys Behavioral
Compiler and System Level Design products. Responsible for researching
product
information as
a product team member with R&D and customer application engineers, and
marketing personnel.
Must be able to determine documentation structure, scope, purpose, and write
for the target
audience. Must write documentation plans and assist subject matter experts
with creating and
editing Release Notes. Requires excellent interpersonal facility and a
team-player demeanor.
Must have solid oral and written communications skills in English. The
candidate should
display attention to detail, self-motivation, and a desire to support the
changing technical
writing environment using the web. Good problem solving skills and
attributes
of a quick
learner are also required in the fast-paced EDA environment.

Job Requirements:
Requires 3-5 years technical writing or software development experience or a
combination of
both. Knowledge of desktop publishing required, FrameMaker and SGML
preferred.
Must be
proficient in writing and able to understand Synopsys products. Previous
experience with
electronic design automation (EDA) tools is preferred.

Education:
Requires BA, BS, BSEE, BSIE, or equivalent education or experience.
