Technical Communication Specialist/Technical Writer (Permanent)
Candidates will work in a full spectrum of documentation delivery from paper
to
"bleeding edge" XML/SGML systems. Gilbarco offers a positive, fast paced,
team
experience where diverse opinion is encouraged, the ability to play well
with
others is highly prized, complete project immersion and opportunity to
stretch
technical writing skills is the standard.
Writing assignments include hardware, software, and parts documents for
service
organizations and store personnel.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in FrameMaker(preferred) or other page layout software .
Knowledge/interest in HTML Help, SGML/XML, human factors/testing a plus.
Demonstrated research and interviewing skills.
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Mechanically inclined or posses an innate curiosity about how things
work/relate.
Excellent project management skills.
Ability to learn new software tools quickly.
Degree in technical communication, journalism, English, or related field.
Samples of work and college transcripts at interview.
