Or better YYYY-MM-DD (ISO 8601) with a fixed-length format, using leading
zeroes for day and month values between 00 and 09 inclusive; or use a
3-letter abbreviation for the month, helping new users who are unfamiliar
with the Year-Month-Day order: YYYY-MMM-DD.

Examples: 1999-06-02 or 1999-JUN-02
