Subject:Re: HTML frame limitation? From:Geoff Lane <geoff -at- GJCTECH -dot- FORCE9 -dot- NET> Date:Wed, 14 Apr 1999 17:34:34 +0100
Hi Leigh,
A couple of suggestions:
1. Create the main frameset in two columns and place the title and content
into an inner frameset within the right-hand frame. I assume that the
right-hand frame should be like WinHelp (having a non-scrolling region and a
scrolling region). In this case, the HREF attribute would be to the
frameset that contains the title and page content.
2. Use JavaScript (attached to the OnClick() event) to change the source of
both the top-right and bottom-right frames. In this case, the HREF
attribute would be "#".
Of the two, I'd go for option 1 because it would work with a larger range of
browsers.
