Please tell us what software application you are using. FrameMaker can
easily handle this with conditional text. Interleaf has the same capability
with effectivity. Word has a hidden text feature based on character
formatting, but my understanding is that it is difficult to format within
Word's hidden text.

My company plans to release two versions of the same basic software product;
one version will have basic functionality and the other more advanced
functionality (like a Pro product). They want the same manual to document
both versions of the product.
