I was told when I hired on that I would be expected to do a certain number
of line drawings, but alot of my projects got much more complex than I ever
counted on. I was a little worried about the quality of my drawings, but I
was surprised how good my drawings could look with the right drawing
program (Interleaf 6.3).

I also wanted to suggest trying to work with a digital camera. It takes
alot of trial an error to get the light and shadows set, but it can
produce some useful grayscale photographs. I have a journalism degree, so I
was used to working with the camera. About 25% of my graphics are now
photographs.
