May I add this, from a nice book called Becoming a Technical Leader by
Gerald Weinberg. The author uses a quotation at the beginning of the
first chapter:

If you are a good leader,
Who talks little,
They will say,
When your work is done,
And your aim fulfilled,
"We did it ourselves."
