>A technical writer is a person who:
has dreams, wants, needs, successes and failures. One who fights the traffic, pays the bills, loves the kids, pays the taxes, and works with little thanks or admiration. A person who has feelings, who occasionally needs a pat on the back for a job well done, who suffers the contempt of SME's who think of them as glorified secretaries, and who work on because they know the average person needs them to explain what is so blatantly obvious to the designer, engineer, or programmer. A person who is expected to be an expert with a particular brand of tool, not just the creation of the product using tools. A person who continues on despite the criticisms and who wonders if there is life somewhere else out there. All this I've learned from reading your posts, Thank You. Merry Holidays, Have a hell of a New Year.
