George spoke out hastily due to issues that transcend this list; knowing now a
little bit about those issues I encourage all who may have been offended by
George's intemperate words to forgive him and to accept his sincere apology.
As to whether George's posting privileges should be reinstated immediately,
Eric suspended George's posting privileges to this list because of that post
and it remains Eric's decision as to when that suspension should end. I don't
believe we should try to make this list a referendum on what Eric should or
shouldn't do. I think we should all accept Eric's judgement as to the
enforcement of the rules on the list. This list isn't a democracy.
