"What do you call the different syntax elements of a programming
language?"
Well, I would have thought that the declarations, ifs, loops etc., are
what defines the language. That is, that language comprises all its rules.
The syntax is that which is necessary and sufficient for a complete
description of the language. Hence I suggest any of the following, or
