Questions about how to do screen shots have been popping up now and
again for a while. Photoshop is always suggested as one solution, but
one of its biggest drawbacks has always been the learning curve. The
following web site can help get a basic level of competency in Photoshop
(it also has quite a bit of useful information on how graphics work in
general)

It helps get over the learning curve (I can't help with the other
drawback of Photoshop . . . price) so you can get back to what you do
know how to do, write.
