I'm new to this list so forgive me if this is ground already covered.
Please respond to me directly if you wish and I will summarize to the
list.

I'm interested in hearing comparisons of RoboHelp (any version) vs.
Webworks Publisher for generating on-line help (WinHelp or HTML Help). I
went to class for RoboHelp a year ago, but the programming effort has
<*still!*> not begun, and since I have the opportunity, I am considering
dumping RH and using WWP instead. Key facts and impressions:

* I don't know Word that well and despise what I have seen of it,
however, I am an Adobe Certified Expert in FrameMaker
* Blue Sky suckered us into buying RH 4 just before releasing RH 5
and we were one or two days too early to get a free upgrade -- we're
less than eager to do business with them any more, unless the product is
just too good to pass up
* From what I have seen and heard of WWP, it looks like it is
harder for it to handle some of the "cosmetic" features of WinHelp (and
possibly HTML Help), such as custom colors for secondary topic windows,
etc.
* It looks like WWP makes it easier to produce a working help
system quickly.

Bottom line: It seems that for someone who knows FrameMaker well, WWP
will make it easier and quicker to produce useful, full-featured on-line
help.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and opinions with me.

[By the way, I appreciate the recent posts on ForeHelp. I decided
against it last year because I have been stuck so often with products
that were not market leaders and found myself orphaned. However, it
sounds like ForeHelp is a great product and that it is doing just fine
in the market...]
