Paul,

I may be in the comfortable situation that I am "the high up" in my
company. So, I will not make platform changing decisions just so ...
especially as my company is fully Mac-based.

It depends on your documents, but the switch to Frame does make sense.
Where I might have a few question marks is Canvas. However, I have not
upgraded to the newest version, so it is possible that it got improved.

As one of your end products is PDF, you should go for a PostScript based
workflow. This means that vector graphics are in the EPS format and nothing
else. For raster graphics, you will have to look at the discussions about
screenshots and PDF; they are basically valid for all raster graphics.

Switching forward to MacOS is certainly a good idea, considering that you
are familiar with it. You might make your calculations of a "break-even
point" with the time you do not waste fiddling around with the problems you
mention. I would not be surprised if it were a pretty short time.

Hope, this can help.
