I just hate it when you're reasonable.

Especially when you're right. too.

Text alignment does get out of hand when continuously more and further indented. In fact, I sem to recall a document where that was done which was rejected for publication. I think that this particular document is supposed to be an "internal"
Still, better to go with sense than style.
