Bridge Information Systems is looking for a staff senior technical writer to
work in the fixed income development group on site at 3 World Financial
Center in New York City. The salary range is $55-$65K, with annual bonus
based on how well the company fares and on performance. Bridge is one of the
top financial information providers in the world, serving more than 6,500
customers and delivering vital financial information to more than 75,000
users worldwide.
We need a senior writer, minimum 5 years experience, with strong writing,
editing, research, and intrapersonal skills, who has experience developing
documentation and online help from scratch, and who knows FrameMaker,
Robohelp, Acrobat, and can create HTML documents using software of her/his
choice. Some knowledge of fixed-income securities is preferred. Experience
documenting financial software is a big plus.
Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining online help for a
family of fixed income data and analytics applications, developing user,
administrator, and installation guides for new fixed income applications,
maintaining some existing guides, managing inventory of printed
documentation, preparing PDF and HTML versions of printed documentation, and
working with developers and QA team to produce quality products with quality
documentation.
We have a great group of developers, writers, and QA specialists in the
fixed income development group. The writer will be able to have input to the
software development and QA processes, and to the specification
of our documentation goals.
