There is no solution, that's the way it works. Also, it's worse than you
think because of a really bad numbering/styles/indent bug. I use the
Auto-number SEQ method, which works great, but you would have to teach
your engineers, and they would probably rather just renumber all the
time. See http://www.knopf.com/downloads/autonumber.htm. This solution
is billed as a RoboHelp solution, but it works with just Word too.
