I would disagree. Arial and Helvetica on the surface may appear
identical, but actually are quite different. Arial is a TrueType font
where Helvetica is PostScript. I've also found that Arial and
Helvetica space differently, and switching from one to the other in an
entire document can affect pagination in Word.

You are correct that Helvetica doesn't come with Windows. You can
either buy Helvetica from Adobe, or it will install with Adobe Type
Manager (which comes with Adobe Acrobat and other Adobe products).
