Hi There!
Most people have neither the time nor the inclination to learn how to
use a new "hammer". It's pretty hard to be very interested in the
aesthetics of hammer head inclination and quality of the chrome plating
on the hammer head, when the boss is raving about production and how
many 2x's get nailed together TODAY!
What happened to the concept of "intuition" in software. It's the
programers job, but most programers live in a very different reality
than most users. It's the Tech Writers job to make the bridge between
the two.
