Thanks to *all* who have given me some possible solutions to the
WordBold problem (and thanks Shorter for the poetry! ). My task is
finished; I had either checked before or tried all your possibilities,
but not a one was the culprit --or the solution. However, I had the
chance to revisit all of the possible factors that may obtain in Word,
and all the little nooks and crannies of Word!! So, instead of some
grand solution, I simply:
*selected the phrase
*hit ^C
*pointed cursor in the other doc
*hit ^V
*selected the new paste, which was BOLD
*hit ^B to unbold.

(actually, it DID give me a way to take a closer look at the edit to see
if it was in fact correct)

Now I won't yap about the SME who ignored my questions about the
changes.... that's another thread, entirely!

Thanks again, 'whirlers...

me!;-)
