Tom, when I first bought FrameMaker I expected to need a third-party
book to help me learn it. There were a few books around at the time
(early 1995) but I did't get any firm recommendations from Frame users.

I found the Frame manual ('Using FrameMaker') to be very good --
probably the best software manual I've used. The online tutorial is
not bad either.

So, my advice is first to try the materials that come with the software.
If you'd still like another reference, try 'Mastering FrameMaker 5'
(I think that's the name) by Tom Neuberger. I've heard nothing but
praise for this book.

Finally, if she's going to be using Frame to generate PDF files there
are some books that focus on publishing for Acrobat. I can dig out
the references if you want.

Regards
