Hi again! New day, different question.

Is there some kind of rule of thumb for deciding when to use a graphic
or text? I haven't noticed it as much with paper, but am becoming more
aware of this in web-based documentation. Are there any resources that
discuss this topic in detail? Is there any research on this as far as
which benefits the user more and when?

I am interested in your thoughts and appreciate any thoughts you might
want to share.

Thanks!

Rikki
